Communication - key to success

Over the last twenty years or so, stress at work has been steadily increasing1, and with it tiredness and overwork, often leading to burnout and high turnover within companies. But who is responsible for that?

Since technology has changed our world, we feel much more connected to each other. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, email and many other "communication" tools have appeared and convinced billions of people that they are the future of human relationships.

However, in recent years, more and more people have realized that these tools, however effective they are, do not bring human beings closer together, but create false relationships and build up a kind of distance. In fact, we have seen, in this period of confinement due to Covid-19, that technology, particularly videoconferencing, has made it possible to keep in touch with our loved ones, but after a while people began to feel the need to see people physically, to share a discussion face to face and not through a screen. Many were looking forward to returning to their jobs and to their colleagues because this need to belong2 and to be in touch has been with us for millennia.

Nothing beats human exchanges and nothing can replace them. It is often said for the life of a couple: communication is the key! But this is true in all areas of life and especially at work, because we spend a large part of our lives there.

Technology has certainly increased the pace of daily work and made many previously tedious and time-consuming processes easier, but it has also cut us off from contact with each other. We hide behind our emails, reports, figures, SMS messages and we separate ourselves from human relations, so that communication is too often neglected, even though it is one of the pillars of productivity.

Do we really know our employees and colleagues? Do we know their motivations, their goals? Do we have an idea of how they feel? Do we let them express themselves? Do we know how to communicate with them? Many questions to which many managers and business leaders do not have answers.

Twins Vision focuses on what makes a modern company successful, and communication in a company is one of the things that contributes most to this. An employee who knows his mission, who knows the company's vision, who is listened to, who is not afraid to express himself and who is valued, will be much less stressed, frustrated, absent or sick. On the contrary, he will be fulfilled and much more involved and successful.

Our mission: to offer company directors and managers a new management method centred on communication and inspired by the largest modern companies.
